Could Polar Bears Reproduce in the Sahara?
Until and after mating Polar Bears tend to be solitary, although they sometimes gather in groups when feeding off a carcass, they prefer to hunt and live alone.
Even if there were two or more Polar Bears of different genders in this hypothetical desert setting, reproduction would in theory be possible, but it is highly unlikely that the cubs would survive, due to overly high temperatures and food shortage.
Polar Bears separate again after mating so it is even possible that the Polar Bears, lost in their new environment, would not find each other to mate again.
